Mr Martyn Parker
Martyn Parker is an orthopaedic surgeon with a specialist interest in the treatment of hip fractures. His job is somewhat unique in that involves the complete care of hip fracture patients from the assessment at the time of admission, through surgery, post-operative care, rehabilitation and subsequent out-patient follow-up.
He is the author of two text books on the management of hip fractures, 18 of Cochrane reviews and over 150 journal articles on hip fractures. He has acted as advisor to a number of clinical guidelines on the management of hip fracture including those from NICE, SIGN and Royal College of Anaesthetists.
