Mr Dominic Inman

Mr Inman is a consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Trust.

Mr Inman studied medicine at Bristol University and moved to the North-East in 2001 where he undertook higher surgical training in Orthopaedics.


He undertook trauma fellowships in Edinburgh and Grenoble  prior to obtaining his consultant post in Northumbria Healthcare NHS Trust in March 2010. 


Mr Inman specialises in hip and knee arthroplasty, knee arthroscopy and complex extremity trauma including treatment of malunions and non-unions.  He is an AO and ATLS instructor and teaches on the Cuschieri hip and knee arthroplasty courses.





He is chairman of his Trust’s multi-disciplinary hip fracture quality improvement steering group and has spoken at national conferences on optimising care for hip fracture patients.  Northumbria’s 30 day mortality following hip fracture has improved from 15% in 2009 to 8% in 2014.  Northumbria was ‘highly commended’ for service redesign of hip fracture care in 2013 at the national Health Service Journal awards.
